The following Proclamation shows the correction made by Kamehameha III - Kauikeaouli in 1845 which affects the false claims of the U.S. about Hawaii.  Great Britain recognized the Kingdom of Hawaii first not the U.S.::

Correction affects the following article which wrongfully credited the United States instead of Great Britain:

Note:

In 1844, the U.S. did put out erroneous information of their status about Hawaii.

The fraudulent claim is hereby corrected because of Kamehameha III - Kauikeaouli's correction which was posted in 1845 as seen above.
