The entity State of Hawaii has No Jurisdiction because there was No Annexation.
The McCandless claims are Alien Claims which means there was only a 30 year use. Also, the McCandless brothers three (3) were part of the conspirators of Queen Liliuokalani in 1893 and had no rights due to the Treasonous activities and participation in the "Sharpshooters" who were documented as the 50 who Killed Hawaiians.
Issues remain because the true landowners existed then and their heirs of their body exists today.
Also, the heirs are the heirs of the body of Kamehameha through his oldest son Kaoleioku as documented through research.

Note: Princess Poomaikelani is our Familys great great grandmother....she was the sister of Queen Kapiolani who was the hanai/adopted daughter of Kaluakini our grandmother's father...which means Queen Kapiolani became the sibling of our grandmother. Princess Poomaikelani was also the hanai/adopted daughter of Kalola (w) who was the next-of-kin to Bernice Pauahi Bishop. The Kawananakoa's and Kuhio Kalanianaole were sellout, conspirators/treasonous persons, the kanaka maoli who supported the usurpation of Queen Liliuokalani in 1893. Also, it was only Queen Kapiolani and Princess Poomaikelani (and the heirs of her body) who were loyal to the Queen.
