The following is the Permanent Amity and Friendship Treaty of the Kingdom of Hawaii and the United States of America ratified in 1850:

Note:

The Treaty is only between Kamehameha III's heirs and successors.  See article 1.  Also, Article XIV. shows that Punishment for Pirates, thieves, etc. is documented.
