The following is evidence of the Konohiki Law passed by Kamehameha III in 1852:

Note:  Next to the Allodial land titles, the Konohiki were given Allodial Ahupuaa to care for.  Konohiki were also assigned to lands called Kupono lands which were free from rent and taxes.  

Deputy Konohiki /Assistant Konohiki were also assigned.
