SUMMARY
James L. Aholo was a conspirator, treasonous person who worked for the Kingdom of Hawaii AND the Provisional Government in 1893.
He was NOT part of Queen Liliuokalani's supporters but operated with the Provisional Government and appears to have played a part in trying to diminish the Kue Petition in 1897.
This is the list of those who worked for the Kingdom of Hawaii and the highlighted names are those who were the ENEMIES OF Queen Liliuokalani in 1893.
Therefore, James L. Aholo was an ENEMY of Queen Liliuokalani and played a major role in Censuring James K. Kaulia in 1897.
The term "Disavowal" was used in regards to James K. Kaulia. Did the purpose of the article leave a legal "interruption" or move to disrupt the Opposition to the Annexation in 1897?
With the participation of an active usurper in the midst of the Oppositions representing the Kingdom of Hawaii, it appears that James L. Aholo was a "plant" and played a part in trying to disrupt the Oppositions to Annexation.
To lessen James K. Kaulia's authority, it appears that Aholo and the others could not oppose because James K. Kaulia was the President of the Hawaiian Patriotic League whose title was gotten from the people's vote, or the majority of those Opposing Annexation.
"After Nāwahī's death in September 1896, delegates from the different island branches of Hui Aloha ʻĀina met in Honolulu for the election of a new leadership council on November 28, 1896, which coincided with Lā Kūʻokoʻa (Hawaiian Independence Day). In this meeting, James Keauiluna Kaulia was elected as the new president and William Pūnohu White as honorary president. Vice presidents elected were Kaunamano, Bipikane, Bush, and Edward Kamakau Lilikalani.[17] "

Note: James K. Kaulia was elected President and notice that another usurper participant named William Punohu White was named "honorary president" which is not an elected position.
It appears that William Punohu White was yet another "plant" by the usurpers who were in Opposition to Queen Liliuokalani and worked in behalf of those who wanted Annexation to the U.S.
Therefore, the "Disavowal" article was not legal based on the fact that James K. Kaulia was the elected official of the Hawaiian Patriotic League.

Queen Kapiolani had an adopted son named Kahanu with her first husband Namakeha/ Bennett Namakeha. When she married David Kalakaua/King David Kalakaua he had children with Kalele/ Kaahulele (w) and had Kaopu and Kamaka (w) who became Queen Kapiolani's stepchildren.
Her sister's sons Kawanakoa and Kuhio were claimed to be her hanai/adopted children. Her sister Kinoiki died in 1884. Kinoiki's husband David Piikoi died in 1878 or six (6) years earlier.
Queen Kapiolani and King Kalakaua had a total of five (5) children; Three (3) stepchildren and two (2) hanai/adopted children from her sister Kinoiki (w).

- Amelia Gora I like what Tane Inciong posted on the Makawalu page: Tane Inciong E kala mai ia'u! I missed this thread and have come at the tail end. I've read the comments and what I see is the typical na koa in battle. It is common in battle to throw insults to stir up the adrenaline for battle. LOL... One should recognize this as a tactic practiced in days of old. So let's move past that and center on the main issue. Ali'i nui or Mo'i is a senior line and the rest of the 'ohana are junior lines. Ranking is based on whom are the mother and whom are the mother. Most of us are lo ali'i or kaukau ali'i. many of the collateral relations fall into the maka'ainana and that's good too! But it is how you live you life that is important. There is an obligation, responsibility, and burden you carry from your kupuna to be pono. As far as Kekau, I give her deference to her bloodline as I do to the rest of the Kanaka maoli who do descend from ali'i, kahuna, and maka'ainana and even kauwa. I hope you understand the context of being kauwa as there is still dignity stemming from that due to politic in Hawaii's past. Now back to the issue. Go back to the Hawaiian Kingdom's constitution and successorship to the throne is spelled out as well as what is common knowledge. Queen Liliuokalani disinherited both Kawananakoa brothers who were her nephews by marriage because they tried to declare her incompetent and wanted to take over her estate. Thus by constitutional law they were pulled out of the line of succession. The crypt is available for her if there is room; if not she's out of luck and the Kalakaua crypt should be sealed as the Kamehameha tombs are also sealed. For one to carry the title princess or prince, one has to be patented by the existing monarch and approved by the House of Nobles and agreed by the House of Representatives. if you've been involved in researching as long as some of us, normally, many would not want to share any information........i just wonder why the heck noone followed up on Queen Liliuokalani's issues.....even in her Will she maintained she did not sign a trust......I wonder about my own ohana for not exposing any of this crap sooner......
