Lāhui News Update...
An uncle of mine, fellow graduate of Saint Louis class of 1986, James Kāneali’i Igawa, was brutally assaulted after a Mike Love concert in Kalapana, Hawaii island this past weekend. Kāne has been an advocate for healing Hawai’i and has given his mana in ways that most humans never do. He has helped to facilitate healing with his techniques and Herbs Herbs (Maui Noni) medicinals on hundreds if not thousands of people just because he answers the call of healing our lāhui and people.
It saddens me to say that from the information I have received, the ones who took this action were apart of our own lāhui Kānaka. Kāne was blindsided in a parking lot by a few drunk Hawaiians who I believe were young adults hanging in the area, called him names such as “Fake Hawaiian” because he spends time with the peaceful crew (what we would call the Hippies), and basically left him to die. If it not were for a couple Good Samaritans, Kāne would have not made it on the Medevac to Queens.
Kāne is now in ICU and is almost paralyzed from his waist down and will have to undergo lengthy rehabilition in order to walk again (surgery not an option for him).
I post this to gain potential insight on any information people have regarding this so we can ho’oponopono amongst our own people. People from Hawai’i island, please share some info so we can cleanse this kine hewa out of our communities. Frankly, this the kind of mana that trap our lāhui from rising into higher levels of Aloha, Pono, and prosperity for all. Ego, addiction, cravings, and all the desires of the lower self. Not aiming to bash anyone, just have ‘Awa and sit to share aloha.
You have been forgiven long before the crime is committed
